Near-Earth Asteroid Tracking system (NEAT)

A NASA survey for asteroids approaching relatively near the Earth. It started in 1995, using a CCD camera installed on a 1-metre (39-inch) telescope operated on Mount Haleakala in California by the US Air Force.
